This vase showcases the Bullicante technique. This process requires immense skill from the glassblower, as a precise grid of air bubbles is "controlled" and trapped within a vibrant cobalt blue core before being encased in a heavy, solid clear glass base. While unsigned—as was common for many studio pieces and boutique exports of the era—this vase strongly reflects the architectural silhouettes and optic play popularized by premier Swedish and Italian glass houses in the 1960s and 70s. It represents an era where glass was designed to be "liquid light," transforming a functional vessel into a sculptural focal point.

 
Condition

Good vintage condition. Structurally sound with no chips or cracks. Expect the character of hand-blown glass, including minor variations in bubble placement and light shelf wear on the weighted base.
